    HU Travellers Meeting France 12222

The chicken was wonderful — loved it. However, the potatoes lacked a little something. They were good — just lacked…. I have a favorite. Hands down, I absolutely love, love, love creme brulee. Fortunate for me, Hubby was willing to let me choose the dessert and we indulged a fabulous dish of my ultimate favorite treat. Okay, so here is the part so many of you guys enjoy. Well, unfortunately, the first trip to the Pavilion did not lend itself to speaking with anyone in particular. I think that probably contributed to the downward spiral of that particular event.

However, this go round we were able to spend some time chatting away with our server, Cyril. Cyril was more than willing to share his Disney story with us! Cyril is a young gentleman from Toulouse, France, which we found out is closer to the Spain border and approximately eight hours from Paris. Instead, when back home, he prefers to pop over to Andorra in the Pyrenees Mountains where things just happen to be a little cheaper. At the time of our visit with him at Chefs de France, he was four months into his year-long stay.

This is his first time in the United States and his very first time working with Disney. I know, right? He lived in France, but never worked for Disneyland Paris!

A Quick “What to Find” in the France Pavilion

I was shocked, too! Cyril went to school for culinary arts and eventually moved to the United Kingdom to begin his career as a cook. When he returned to France, however, he found a job as a waiter in a Chinese restaurant and that ultimately inspired him to think a little more about where he wanted to go with his career. While he still loves to cook, he found that he enjoyed being face to face with customers, so he decided that he would stick with this a little longer and perhaps consider training to be a bartender in the future.

When asked why he applied for the International Program with Disney, Cyril was quick to point out that he loves an adventure. Having never been to the United States, this, combined with his passion for working in the restaurant setting, created the perfect scenario for him. I would say that our second visit to the France Pavilion went very well. It was a gorgeous day. The food was good. The entertainment was fun and captivating. Our server was dazzling and, as always, we had the opportunity to spend quality time together at our one of favorite places in the world ha!

Have you been to France? Have you dined here and, if so, where? Feel free to share a story down below or tell me what part of our time there fascinated you the most.

Wow, this is full of great information about France at Epcot, which is one of my favorite countries featured there too! Makes me want to return back there…and soon! Thank you for sharing the delicious food especially the desserts! My pleasure, Jennifer!!! I love the fountain and walking through the perfume shops.

This looks like so much fun! I remember going to Epcot when I was really young. How fun to do this with your husband! It was his brilliant idea!! I jumped right on board, but he came up with the plan to explore each of the pavilions. It has been a fun ride over the last year and we look forward to the next series once this is complete. Thanks for the read, Meagan! I hope you get the chance to visit Epcot again soon!

Your tours around the countries in Epcot have been fun. I like how you made the best of it and returned for a 2nd tour!! Thanks for sharing! LOL — yeah, that first date dessert was such a disappointment, but we made up for it with the second excursion. Lobster Bisque is my favorite and the Patissierie looks amazing!!!!

The shops are worth taking a gander through and the movie is definitely something to watch. I hope you get to explore the pavilion soon! This trip looks amazing. You take great pictures. I am not able to travel for financial reasons but that will soon change. It sounds like you had an amazing time. Thank you for sharing. I love this! My pleasure and thank you so much for the sweet words!!

With regard to finances, though? I have yet to see impressions Dr France will be adding it to the list! Is mom possible still around? Thanks for the honest reviews! I actually think it is, but my boys were never into it. I remember seeing some of the components in the Mexico Pavilion just recently. As for Impressions de France?

I was pleasantly surprised at how much it made me want to go visit — like now! I would definitely recommend trying to fit it in with your next visit. Love your photos and France is definitely a great place for a date night or two. So which perfume did you buy?? I always love perfume until I get it home! It had a rosey scent to it. Chefs de France was our last meal at WDW just a couple weeks ago, and yet reading your post I find myself wanting desperately to go back!

My favorite pavilion! Lol And you are right on the street entertainment, absolutely amazing! We are always trying to figure out how he is able to balance on all those chairs!!?? And, oh, my goodness! Oh, for shame, right??? Disney Parks have improved by leaps and bounds over the years when it comes to providing for dietary restrictions. I am at the point where I think you could probably make it around World Showcase.

The only difference is that some of the restaurants are third-party owned, as you well know. THAT may be the kicker. Your email address will not be published. Recipe Rating.
