Bradford College traces its origins to Bradford Academy , which was founded in , and used that date in its collegiate logo. The academy incorporated in The first president of Bradford was Dr. Katharine Denworth, a graduate of Swarthmore with a doctorate from Columbia. Her tenure from to oversaw the transformation of Bradford in to a liberal arts junior college for women leading to a bachelor's degree.

Free Courses in English and Mathematics We offer a range of FREE English and Mathematics courses, at various centres in the Bradford area, for adults aged 19 or over, to allow you to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification. We offer a supportive and engaging learning environment to support all levels from Entry Level to Level 2. These courses start in September and finish in June.
For these English and Mathematics courses, there are no formal entry requirements. You will be required to complete an assessment and, based upon that, you will be allocated a class at the appropriate level.
