From the whole book I remember only the name Millie which was repeated instantly instead of she for example the author used always Millie, in every sentence, it was really annoying , and I had a feeling that the author liked particular words, because when she once used them they repeated themselves in the next sentences.
Interesting comedy romance novel Loved the story plot and the characters were well developed It s hard to not have feelings for the characters and what they ve went I m excited to read the next book.

I liked this book wel enough, but sadly it wasn't anything interesting. What I liked most was the humor and some of the secrets were playing out hilariously, but apart from that there wasn't very much else. It involved a lot of drinking and talking about the same things without these talks leading to anything in particular. Millie was sometimes interesting and in other parts super boring. The whole book was about the wedding and Rob.
IF you are going to write a book entirely about a wedding, you I liked this book wel enough, but sadly it wasn't anything interesting. IF you are going to write a book entirely about a wedding, you need more than just a few lousy family secrets that won't even really get a climax. Most of the secrets just faded away or got 1 page in which all was revealed. I think that the only secret that was really played out entirely was the secret of Rob and Millie, but even that didn't get much of a dramatic reaction.
Yes, they reacted, but not really. Also the fact that it took them 5 years to find out, plus that Rob got married just a year ago, made it feel like this secret was long overdue. It wasn't as crucial to know the truth anymore, because as you notice later on, it doesn't really do anything. I finished the book with maybe a tiny smile, but that was about it. Bit of marshmallow fun as I get deeper into assignment time. Only tok a few hours to read, and was literally fluff to help send me to sleep and not to be thinking about budgets or acquisitions etc. I like that Millie is English and I also like that she stands up for herself every now and again. This story has a really crappy ending - you turn the page or in my case swipe and boom!
It's the epilogue. Shame really - because I would have like to see more.
If you're wondering the whole story is se Bit of marshmallow fun as I get deeper into assignment time. If you're wondering the whole story is set out over a week at a wedding in New York as Millie gets to know her friend Kristen all over again and all the stories and drama that appear to be endemic amongst people who don't tell the truth for fear of hurting people.
And an evil mother into the bargain. As I said, a nice fluffy read for when your brain can't cope with more. Aug 21, Lin Voong rated it it was amazing. I have to say, the prequel made this book easier to follow. I could imagine myself flicking through the pages trying to figure out who was who if I hadn't read the prequel first. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down and ended up staying up till 7am finishing it!
Oh, the perks of being a university student on Summer break. My heart went out to Millie. She was so strong throughout the book. I really enjoyed how much drama she brought to the group. It made me laugh out loud, cringe and almost had me in tears. I cannot wait for the next installment! Jan 30, Agi rated it it was ok Shelves: It will be a very short review. Loved the story plot and the characters were well developed. It's hard to not have feelings for the characters and what they've went. I'm excited to read the next book. Oct 17, D. Millie and the American Wedding is cheerful, fun and pleasingly packed full of twists and turns.
Millie is funny, friendly, and reassuringly imperfect - in short, she is best friend material. I'm off to buy book number 2! Feb 25, Annmarie Lee rated it liked it. A light-hearted distraction between reading more gritty material. A little predictable but warm and comfortable to read with likeable characters. Bridget Jones meets a somewhat tamer Sex and the City.

Jun 19, Rachel rated it it was amazing. I really enjoyed this short book. Some of the grammar was terrible and incorrect uses of homophones such as - there. But, if you can see past this, it is an enjoyable story. View 2 comments.
Apr 18, Kerri Clements rated it really liked it. Really enjoyed the story, lots of funny moments to relate to. Would have liked a bit more detail to the epilogue as it did finish abruptly in my opinion. Worth a read. Mar 13, Noodles78 rated it it was ok. Jul 21, Natalie Walsh rated it liked it.
