I don't mind seeing Holmes as less than the super sleuth - i actually prefer seeing him as damaged and vulnerable. But the early hints that his ultimate weakness is his own egotism don't play out. And the big reveals, both in the mystery and in the brothers' feud, didn't work for me. During Toddler Hour on December 11, from am we will be hosting a special event: a puppet-making workshop! Bruce, our storyteller, will be helping children make their very own puppets. These puppets will then appear in a magical Christmas puppet show the following Monday. Foyles Bristol are delighted to be hosting the Picture Book Club South West - a book group for grown-ups who love picture books - as they welcome prolific children's author Sean Taylor to their December meeting.
