Be careful when paying as booking. I hit the instant pay button by accident. I couldn't modify the booking when I realised this, which was also not immediate and the room ended up costing almost double as much as it was on the day of our stay. The problem wasn't even the price as much as not being able to make changes to the booking. The view from our room was dreary, overlooking a rooftop. Ask for a room on a high floor. It's a good business hotel conveniently located in Halifax centre and it served us well for our last night in Nova Scotia and early departure for the airport.

Excellent housekeeping, pleasant staff. This hotel is located right in the heart of Halifax: perfect for those attending attending a conference at the Halifax convention center or who just want to explore downtown Halifax. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They try to accommodate an early check in and check out is at pm which is nice and gives you a little bit more time go out for breakfast and pack without a rush.

The pool is lovely. Room service food is good and quick! No pillow protectors. Carpeted room. I prefer wood floors. Carpets harbour all sort of "nasties" and one cannot tell how clean they are although I appreciate for noise and wear and tear they are easier for a hotel. Small vanity top Hotel is on a steep hill, which is good exercise but should be highlighted for less able guests. Air conditioner was too noisy to have on at night so we slept with the window open and used ear plugs. Bed was very comfortable and they changed the duvet to a light one for us, which was much appreciated. Fair trade, wall hung, large container toiletries Night light in bathroom Very good towels.

I always hang towels, bath mats etc that I am happy to use use again and they are always replaced, which is not environmentally friendly. Long mirror. Executive floor lounge. Very friendly, accommodating staff. They upgraded a room so family could be on the same floor.

The room was small with little character: painted blocks for furniture, stock photos for art, without a throw cushion on the one occasional chair. The shade on the bedside lamp was split and the electrical socket next to the bed was hanging out of the wall. But it was expensive, which probably made me more critical than I would otherwise have been.

The staff were excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean and the bedding good. I liked the soap. Partied until 4AM. Staff could keep them quiet. Called front desk multiple times. Only got about 3 hours sleep. Terrible service. We were in Halifax at a busy time, for a university graduation.

Prince George Said: No Bath on a Monday! (Bilingual English-French) by J. N. Paquet | Waterstones

The Memorial Cup was also in town and as a result our room was more expensive than any other time we have stayed in Halifax, despite the fact that we booked many months in advance. I'm not a big fan of surge pricing - although to be fair, all the hotels seem to have applied the same high pricing strategy.

The staff were very accommodating, beds very comfortable and location was great. Both meal options were delicious. No bathtub! Halifax is a lovely city and the Prince George is a perfect location to discover the downtown area. The staff were all amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is lovely. The beds and pillows excellent. The staff when we arrived was helpful, but the fella in the morning was a real jerk. He didn't ruin it for me to stay there again, but not happy about his rudeness. No shuttle bus service.

Location, cleanliness, pool, sauna, hot tub, very plush beds, decor and very attentive staff. The black out curtains worked perfectly. The Aveda wash soap was lovely and the supplied hair products were satisfactory. No need for a splash page for the internet use. A simple password for guests would be great as it is an inconvenience to those who have kids and are traveling with streaming devices such as an Apple TV. Definitely would never recommend it.

Much better food in Halifax for less money. The hotel itself was clean, staff was very friendly.

I found the TV selection very poor; no guide for the cable television and the price of a movie is astronomical! The location is excellent if wanting to explore the downtown and if attending an event at the Scotiabank Centre. No USB ports anywhere in room had to call down to get them to bring up a block. Other than that was fantastic. Very accommodated - I booked online and made a note that we where celebrating my partner birthday and they had a card and fruit plate waiting for her. The restaurant Gio on main level was unbelievably good. We were given a room that hadn't been turned over yet.

The hotel was very busy and had some late check outs. When we got to our room the bed hadn't been made and the bathroom wasn't clean. They quickly had the staff take care of it but you would think such a reputable hotel would have ensured this wouldn't happen. Pool and hot tub were great!

Prince George's Teacher Is Engaged to Prince William's Friend & We Have Questions

Nice features in the rooms and beds were very comfy. One of the best overall hotels that I've stayed at, any time I am in Halifax I would not hesitate to stay again. Great staff, beautiful hotel and rooms. Exceptionally clean.. Definitely on my top 5 list of hotels I've stayed at throughout Canada and the US, even ones with a much higher price point. I have no complaints.

What a beautiful hotel!! It was a wonderful experience staying there. The room was lovely, very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is superb! I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know that plans on visiting Halifax. Only complaint is I drive a crew cab truck. I had called ahead to arrange parking and was told it would be no problem to park at your sister hotel.

On arrival that was not the case and had to park in private lot which was very expensive. Beds are amazing. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Drain in bathroom sink was clogged. They came to fix it in the morning when we were trying to check out. It was inconvenient. The evening before, when we reported the problem we were told we could change rooms but we had already unpacked so declined the offer.. Great location. Friendly staff. Comfy bed. Good Wifi. All was clean and staff was friendly. The room service portions were smaller than expected. The pool was the perfect temperature and the staff were so very helpful.

The beds were not as comfortable as I would have expected, and I found the pool area on the cold side. I thoroughly enjoyed the decor and size of our room. Took too long to get out from underground parking. Seems that ticket given to us when we checked in and paid for parking did not work. There were vehicles ahead of us that were taking a long time so obviously they must have been having the same problem. I found the air in the room very dry.

My hands were very dry after washing not sure if that was the soap provided or the dry air , but there was hand cream provided on the bathroom. I woke up a bit cold in the night, and searched for an extra blanket in the drawers or closet, none. The duvets on our beds were extremely thin, so we doubled them up. We had the Deluxe Queen room.

Lots of space, and very comfortable. Checking in and out was extremely speedy, and the staff were all very friendly, smiling, and helpful. We stayed for brunch make reservations when you book your room , and it was amazing. Go hungry. It was much more than your usual breakfast items. Bed not that comfortable too soft and pillows not great. Great central location, clean rooms, and best whirlpool and sauna by far of all Halifax hotels. We were given a room that was very noisy, close to the roof where the air handling units were.

We asked if we could be moved to another room, and were quickly accommodated. Comfortable room, great location, staff very accommodating. Parking was very expensive and not much other options as there was very limited street parking, which you had to pay for as well. Bathroom in room kin deluxe room was small and no fan exhaust, had to keep door open when showering.

The staff was friendly at check in and the location was really well situated. Bed was comfortable and room was kept at a nice temperature and it was nice and quite. We stayed at the Prince George so we could spend Christmas with our son and his girlfriend who are now living in Halifax. Upon checking in, we were amazed to find out that a staff member had upgraded our rooms to suites.

Both suites and were stunning. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into making them as comfortable and cozy as possible. The hotel lobby area itself is cheery and welcoming with its sprawling couches and colourful cushions. The employees were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious especially the eggs benedict. This is a Christmas we will remember for a long time. Thanks to the staff and management at the Prince George Hotel for these magical memories. We will be back! The bartender gave us the check right after our drink without even asking if we wanted another or were ready for the bill. The location was great, the hotel was beautiful. We paid for valet parking and it took them 40 minutes to bring our vehicle around.

Only after I offered to go get it myself. The keys were still in the back room. The pillows were great. Lumpy pillows that are way too large. Asked for flatter pillows on our second night which were quickly provided. The breakfast was expensive and mediocre. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the Hollandaise sauce was luke-warm when served.

We booked a two day, mid-week special rate and received great value for money spent. Wonderful location, very clean room and helpful, friendly staff. Would stay here again. Staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating and were able to fulfill a special request that made our night. Bartender went above and beyond our expectations. Hot tub, pool and weight room were excellent and well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. Sixth floor lounge was well stocked at all hours. Hotel was a short walking distance to a large number of restaurants and bars, plus the arena.

Staff - professional, well-trained, accomodating. Everything was good I did get them to park the car as I do not like to park underground and walk through underground alone. For this occasion we were trying to be close to restaurants other occasions I prefer when you can park at hotel outside for free. Very disappointed with the restaurant.

  • I had been told that Gio Restaurant was one of the very best places to eat in Halifax. Sadly, this was not the case. When both main courses arrived they were very heavily seasoned with salt, so much so that I called the waitress over and told her and then left all the vegetables as they were inedible. The only comment I received was that she would tell the kitchen.

When the plates wee cleared I again said about the excess of salt used but no comment was made. Great location, within walking distance of many interesting attractions. Room was very spacious and had a nice view. Great bathroom. Would stay there again. Breakfast buffet very good and reasonably priced. I couldn't get a space however they did take my keys and parked it later on. Where I thought it would be a hassle with my dog turned into no issue at all.

The best aspect of this hotel has to be the location, you are literally just steps from the Citadel and all the great bars and restaurants on the walk down to the harbourside boardwalk. The room and bathroom are a great size and were very clean. We also used the pool which was nice. The stirs to get to the lift. That a bellman walked me to my car since the previous night there was a man in the parking area injecting himself with something and then following me to the stairs!

Great venue, staff and service! The bar gave the lobby some life Dated rooms, was expecting much nicer based on the price. Having never been to Halifax we chose this because of its star rating. But if we were to do it all over again, we would not stay there. No wow factor just a basic hotel with super high rates. Good location within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, etc. The pillows were lumpy foam pillows and I woke up with a sore neck.

The staff was excellent. I had some work interfere with my weekend and they were able to help with scanning and printing documents very efficiently. Also it was a great location. The location was perfect for our visit. Easy walking distance to the Citadel, good restaurants and the water front. The room was spacious and bed most comfortable.

Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff - they allowed us to leave bags during the stay and then use the pool and showers before heading the airport for our late night flight. The restaurant Gio is also excellent. Made to feel like royalty, upgraded to executive suite. Rooms very quiet compared to other hotels that we've stayed in. Good parking easy to park. Would certainly recommend. Late check out help as we had a late flight home.

We used the valet parking and there was no one around to help us unload our car and we had to get our own luggage trolley. They were short staffed, they barely said hello when they did show up and we had to wait a considerable amount of time to get our car upon check out even though we called ahead from our room before checking out as again they were short staffed. The location is fantastic. Breakfast service could have been more effecient but this didn't detract from our stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were super comfortable, the location is great and makes it easy to get to everywhere in Halifax, we had a slight view of the sea and the restaurant Gios was fantastic. Nothing, it was all excellent. This is a top-notch city centre hotel, excellently placed for exploring the city. Being able to leave our car in the hotel's underground car park while we explored on foot was a great help.

The staff were couteous and efficient and the premises were mintained in tip-top condition. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We even had a view of the river, albeit between two other buildings. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel as there were many alternatives in the city. Parking was expensive. Chantry was given a caution after gaining access to Thomas's Battersea. She was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary but was released with no further action.

Her mother, Rhona Crawford, said her daughter would never harm the young prince after turning up at the school twice in 24 hours. Four-year-old George started at the school in south London a week before the incident, but it is understood he was not here at the time. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: The force continues to work with the school on protective security arrangements for His Royal Highness''.

George returned to the school after the incident and was seen being driven in through a side entrance by two members of staff. Along with his cohort, the prince is currently attending reception classes on a half-day basis and building up to staying for lunch. By Bronte Howard Trainee news reporter.
