And to be honest, at the end of this book, I still didn't like him that much but at least I didn't feel like slapping his face off. But I am still firmly standing by my earlier statement - he does NOT deserve the honour of Captain America nickname, it's the hill I choose to die on, ok???! Anyway, I had rather conflicting feelings about this story - I liked Denver and Shep's chemistry, I found their story more interesting than Monty and Robbi It's no secret that I hated Shepard's guts since book 1.
I just didn't like Shep that much - on top of what he'd done to Delia, he just came off as a privileged prick. No matter how much spoonfeeding the author did to convince me that he is a good guy now. But I have to give it to this book - no one, absolutely no one, excused Shepard's actions. Well, no one but him. However, that was also touched upon and I loved that Denver didn't take his shit and forced him to face his actions.
More than that, I really wasn't into Shepard's explanations for why he was such a little shit. Like, I think at certain point I would've been more receptive to simple "I was a jerk because I was a jerk" explanation than this elaborate Psychology analysis I got that ended with the most obvious and cliche "sometimes good people make bad things but it doesn't make them bad people" conclusion. To sum all this up It was also entertaining AF and Denver's fierceness and her antics kept me glued to this book.
And at the end, Shep and Denny were good together, which, altogether, lands this book somewhere between 3 and 3. I can totally recommend this series with good conscience. As I read, I wondered how Teagan would incorporate the texting aspect and it. I loved their individual personalities but once together, they were quite the pair! The way Teagan came full circle with the characters and tied everything together was incredible, and, in my opinion, the mark of a gift Oh how I love the Texting series!!
The way Teagan came full circle with the characters and tied everything together was incredible, and, in my opinion, the mark of a gifted writer. The friendships and love, not just in this story, but throughout the entire series, is what makes this such a unique and amazing read. This is one of my all-time favorite series and one I recommend often to friends. Captain and Bucky 4 ever! Feb 21, Danny rated it it was amazing Shelves: romance-hot , funny , kindle-unlimited , e-book , in-english , cover-lover , romantic-comedy. Teagan sure ended this series with a bang.
I still can't believe that it's over! I'm not ready for it! I want more of all of them! I entered this read without knowing it was about the Shep and Denver, Monty's sister. I loved that she got a book, she was awesome in Monty's book. Also, I found it really cool that Teagan made up a space for Shep and introduced us to him a little better because ever since reading Let's Get Textual , I hold a grudge towards Shepard because of what he did and I believe Teagan sure ended this series with a bang. Also, I found it really cool that Teagan made up a space for Shep and introduced us to him a little better because ever since reading Let's Get Textual , I hold a grudge towards Shepard because of what he did and I believe that's the reason Teagan thought he deserved better, he deserved a chance to explain himself and for us readers to understand his actions and what was going on with him.
It closed a lot of gaps for me, a lot made sense after reading this book and it was so great. Now she hates me. I used to love her too…and I still do. I love her writing, her sense of humor and the way she can make me laugh out loud with all the goofy things she writes. I loved it.
What Is the IRL App? Why Is It Texting Me?
I'll make sure to keep tabs on her work and to read everything she writes because those are the kind of reads that make me super happy and make me fall in love all over again for the book world. The storyline and characters were fan-freaking-tastic, and the hilarious and laugh-out-loud banter was icing on the cake. I loved everything from beginning to end, and was so happy with the final standalone in the Texting series.

Not my favourite of the Text Me series, but still a fun, enjoyable read. This was a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers 2nd chance romance book with some flashbacks thrown in. Fine, Den. Shepard has his work cut out for him. Not only did he commit some pretty horrible things in Let's Get Textual against Delia and Zach, but he also did something just as bad against Denny that caused her to hate him five years ago. Though I did love him in the flashback texting between Denny and Shep; he was sweet and funny. Once again, we got to revisit everyone from previous books and see the 1 degree of separation between all of them!

Thankfully, I have three books to read from this series, so it's technically not over for me. As much as I loved Teagan's writing and the hilarious banter between Shepherd and Denver, I just couldn't get behind Shep' 3. As much as I loved Teagan's writing and the hilarious banter between Shepherd and Denver, I just couldn't get behind Shep's reasons for keeping away from Denver.
They just weren't enough for me to really be ok with what he did. To me, he was the definition of a man child. As much as I loved them together, he definitely doesn't go down as one of my favorite heroes. Besides all that, I really enjoyed the story for the most part, I couldn't stop chuckling over the fun and witty relationship that Shep and Denver had with each other.
Second chance romances are my absolute kryptonite, so I'm always eager to get to the end to see their happy ever after. Even with all the humor, Teagan effortlessly weaves in the emotions where it punches you right where it hurts. And I was allllllll there for it! Their texting relationship was something I adored because I'll be honest, it was reminiscent to my little love story with my husband and how our relationship first started. Ah memories, gotta love them. It was so cute to see how things started for them, which will definitely have you rooting for them instantly.
I know all the books in this series can be read as a standalone, but I think it's better if you start from book 1. There were a bunch of characters that I had my guesses who they all were and how they tied in with everything. But I'd probably would have made my reading experience better if I read all the previous books. So it was a bit of an overload for me, but I was intrigued to learn more about all these side characters. Teagan definitely has some memorable-comical dialogue that I couldn't stop laughing at and ones that made me eager to read more.
So yeah, although Shep wasn't my favorite, still loved reading this gem of a story. Apr 02, Quinn's Quippy Quotes rated it it was amazing Shelves: own , paperback. I absolutely freaking loved it!! I totally swooned over Shep's vulnerability. I loved that his feelings and regrets ran so much deeper than anticipated. It brought his character full circle. I really loved seeing this side of Denny as well. In Monty's story, Denny kind of comes off as cold. But after finding out I absolutely freaking loved it!! But after finding out her backstory with Shep, everything comes full circle.
These two seriously killed me with the emotions, which was a great switch with the rest of the series. I loved these people!
Powerful Text-to-Speech for at home, work, or on the go.
I loved this series. It was a perfect breezy, fun and funny good time. This was so much fun and hilarious and had a fair amount of heart and feels. Feb 18, Jacqueline rated it really liked it Shelves: rarelondon , unlimited-subscription. Cute, witty and easy to read. Love this series.
Feb 17, nikki rated it it was amazing. All the stars, for Cap and Bucky!! Feb 12, Monique V rated it really liked it. Lough out loud funny! I couldn't stop laughing the whole time I read this book. I had such a great time even though this is not favorite. I highly recommend this author. If you are feeling down just pick up one of her books and have a good laugh!
May 29, Laci rated it it was amazing. I have loved this series. I can't wait for her next book. Since I want you to go in blind like I was able to in order to get the full experience, so this review will be my ramblings about how amazing the book is. Enjoy ; Frist, it was funny, so funny I was laughing so hard people around me were giving me the side eye.
Shrugs, not a care was given. Second, the book was a twist on enemies to lovers, and Hunter did it perfectly. It is one of my favorite tropes and not everyone can handle the transition so flawlessly, but in this situation, it was perfect. Anyone who has ever made a typo needs to read more books, of which I have read dozens. Here is what is good about the way I text:. Emojis are like selfie sticks: When people use them, I immediately make judgmental lip-smacking sounds. There is an hour window in which I text, and any text sent outside of that window is wrong. If you try to text me after 8 pm EST, I will assume you are trying to kiss me, and that is laughable.
I do not care what time zone you are in. I hope this has helped explain why your texts are so bad and mine are so good. If you have any questions, please text me in exactly the manner I have outlined above and in no other way whatsoever. Skip to navigation Skip to content.
